FA Coaching Disabled Footballers
Having started coaching aged 14, I have gained a wealth of experience over the last 30 years.
As an FA Level Two Coach, I am employed by a professional football club, coaching for them in the fields of male, female and disability football since 2019.
At a grassroots level, I have run a football club for over 23 years, running teams, development centres and most recently building a pathway specifically for girls. I also work with external club teams and private coaching businesses to train their sides in line with their footballing philosophies.
Enabling football for all is a personal passion of mine, and as such I’ve completed FA courses in Coaching Disabled Footballers, and I run an active PAN Disability group. Always looking to improve and enhance my footballing skills, I have undertaken FA courses on Talent Identification and Developing Coaches Through Mentoring.
Football is more than the game you see on the pitch. When coaching youth players, it is my belief that you are building beyond the game. At DS11 Coaching, football is the catalyst to building important life skills.
Self confidence, decision making, communication, problem solving, risk taking, planning, creativity and teamwork to name just a few. All of these skills are transferred from the pitch to everyday life, as players grow through their football journey.
